Very Important Person Gratitude (Or just more than one)

So after thinking a lot, you realized that you have a couple important people in your life who inspire, love you and believe in you. You may also find that one person who changed your life completely and you are so grateful. Positive strong energy is coming out from all these persons, you can’t feel otherwise than blessed in your life. I’m sure you have thought that all these people bring the best side out of you. Without them, you wouldn’t reach that far in life. Keep in mind that this is only one side of the coin. How about the other one?

Yes, I’m talking about the people who made you cry, who broke your heart, who made you think back then that life only brings pain. It’s just the past right? Yet again think how much influence these people had on you. The experience is the outcome of the pain and suffering. Therefore you are wiser. Therefore you can make better decisions now. You may think that you were a fool back then but look at you today. “I won’t make the same mistake again”, you say to people when they ask you for advice. When back then you thought that you are worthless, that you will only run after people for advice. Now look at you today.

You are the one who is giving advice to people with similar issues. It’s when you realize that maybe the most important person in your life was your worst enemy. How many times you closed your eyes and wished the worst for this person? Now how many times you are willing to thank them? Yes thank them as for forgiving them, it’s another story. It needs a lot of understanding and knowledge of the situation so as to forgive someone. If you just do it out of pity, then don’t even bother. Focus on the lesson you learned and move on!

Strip off the fake Confidence

Girls love their make-up , boys love their cars and guess what happens if you take them away. If you are still wondering, ask your best friend to meet you in the cafeteria without her make-up on and your boyfriend to use public transportation to come over there too. Pretty much you expect two upcoming situations. On the first one, they find a terrible excuse not to show up. On the second one, they do show up but their confidence is under zero. It’s not bad to own a car or having beautiful clothes. The bad thing is to depend on them so as to boost your self esteem. Take away the expensive houses from the celebrities and their status is harmed. This goes along with their confidence. When we live in a society that nurtures us with these ethics and when we are stuck in a system in where you have to be successful so as to be “important”, “special”, “unique”, it’s when you know that you have to fight back. Anything materialistic shouldn’t be above anything spiritual or personal growth. Though if you don’t do it, you feel you will get kicked out of the system.

This pretty much means that your friends will push you away, your parents will consider you a failure and you will feel the need to leave your town or even country. It has happened to everyone but how do you act? Lower your head and stare at the ground? Shrug and move along? Sigh deeply and have the worst thoughts about yourself? This means that you surrender, you let the system win. The system that you hate so much, that even lead you to take antidepressants cos you are not good enough. Draw a big line and don’t let anyone cross it. It’s your personal boundaries, it’s the space that you need to be yourself. You need to apologize to no one for who you are. Meditate, join a yoga class or martial arts, write daily affirmations, all these will lead to your confidence boost. This is what you want. This is what you need; Inner peace and trust yourself!

When happiness stops being a drug

Years come and go and you still try to define happiness in your life. All these little things that make you smile, all these moments that truly gave you a taste of happiness and this one guy who means the world to you. When you met him, you had a lot of fun, heartwarming conversations, walking next to the seashore and the most important; he made you smile, he gave your life a different meaning. Your face was shining and every time you talked with your friends, you kept telling them that he’s the one, you are so happy with him. One day he shows up and he asks you to break up with him. You pushed him a lot he said. You wanted the perfect man he said. He made you happy while he was not he said. You stay there frozen, so numb as he wished you all the best in your life. He closed the door as you kept staying there numb. He took the happiness with him.

The next months, you were depressed. How could he do that to you? You blame him but keep in mind that you hold responsibility too. How can you rely on someone for making you happy? This means that before you meet him, you never really felt what happiness is. It starts from within and if you keep searching it outside of yourself in the means of a thing or person then it won’t take long that it will turn into your drug. If a show on TV is the only thing that makes you happy, then it’s when you know that you made it your happiness drug. When the show stops, you will become depressed. What’s your inner spark? What really makes you happy? No one is perfect and happiness is far away from perfection. It’s a big journey and you are ready to enjoy it!
